Moving Time

Last Friday we were able to move into our new house. Since then we have been organizing, finding places for our belongings, and bringing stuff from storage, some of which has been there since June. Like Christmas? Maybe, in some cases. But stressful as we try to prioritize what room needs to be set up first. Yes, unpacking the clothes is important. So are the office files, not only because of upcoming tax needs, but also because of soon-to-be late and overdue bills. Still it is all coming together little by little.

And in the midst of it all, some tense moments that needed to be taken to the Lord in prayer. One of my favorite verses kept running through my mind this week in the middle of our chaos: “Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6-7).
